Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the Model Citizens website (meetmodelcitizens.com), the Model Citizens Passport, your business account and the products and services we sell. Model Citizens is run by Model Citizens Group ("we", "us"), based in New South Wales, Australia. By using the site or buying from us, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What we sell
- Digital products: guides, plans, programs, challenges, workbooks, card decks and downloadable keepsakes such as printables, templates, wallpapers and voice packs.
- Personalized portraits and printed gifts: artwork made from a photo you upload, as a digital file or printed onto canvases, prints, framed prints, mugs, ornaments, blankets, puzzles, pillows, gift sets and a holographic trading card.
- Storybooks: a 24-page story made from your photo, as a PDF or a printed softcover or hardcover.
- Services for businesses: UGC Videos for brands and Picture Day Plus for sports photographers, as one-off packs or monthly plans.

2. Photos you upload
You must own the photo or have permission to use it. Only a parent or guardian may upload a photo of a child, and they confirm it before uploading. Photographers using Picture Day confirm that they took the photos and have each parent or guardian's permission. We use your photos only to make what you ordered, and we delete them on the schedule in our Privacy policy. We may decline to make something (for example, from a photo that isn't yours, or content that's offensive or infringes someone else's rights).
3. Portraits, printed gifts and storybooks
Portraits. Portraits are painted with AI image tools from your photo and checked by a person before anything is printed. Free previews are watermarked; the clean file is yours once you buy.
Printed gifts. Printed gifts are paid through Stripe Checkout and made to order by our print partner, Printify. The holographic trading card, 2.5 × 3.5 in (6.4 × 8.9 cm), is made and posted by our trading-card printer, QPMN. We check every print file against your photo first. Production usually takes 2 to 5 working days, plus delivery time. Every printed gift comes with the full-size digital file.
Printed storybooks. The softcover ($35) and hardcover ($49), both 8.5 × 8.5 in (21.6 × 21.6 cm), are paid through Stripe Checkout, plus postage, and printed by Lulu. We check a proof of every page before the book is sent to print. The postage for your country is shown before you pay, and the PDF comes with every printed book.
Where we ship. Printed products ship to the United States, Australia and Canada only. Some items (ornaments, framed prints, blankets, puzzles, pillows and gift sets) ship within the United States only for now; the product page shows where each one can go. For most printed gifts, US shipping is in the price and postage to Australia or Canada is added at checkout. Shipping on the trading card is included everywhere. Orders from our Etsy shop are handled through Etsy.
4. UGC Videos and business plans
What you get. The Ad Pack is a one-off $197 for 5 videos. The monthly plans are Creative Starter ($497 a month, 10 videos and 10 still ads), Creative Growth ($1,497 a month, 30 videos and 30 still ads) and Creative Scale ($2,997 a month, 60 videos and 60 still ads). Plans bought before 5 Nov 2026 keep their price and allowance. Every video is 15 seconds. You approve the scripts before anything is made. The Ad Pack includes one round of changes, and monthly plans include one round per video. Picture Day Plus plans are monthly too, with the players and designs shown on the plans page.
Billing. Monthly plans are billed through Stripe in US dollars, every month from the day you start, until you cancel. Stripe may show and charge the price in your own currency. Open Manage billing in your business account to change your card, see invoices or switch plans; it opens Stripe's secure billing page.
Your monthly videos. Each plan's videos are for that calendar month. Videos you don't ask for in a month don't carry over to the next one.
Pausing. You can pause a monthly plan for a month from the Account tab. There's no charge while it's paused and no new videos are made. Your plan starts again by itself on the date shown, and you can resume sooner any time.
Canceling. Cancel any time from the Account tab or Manage billing. Before you go, we show one screen of options: pause for a month, move to a cheaper plan, or, once per account, 25% off your next bill. They're all optional, and "No thanks, cancel my plan" is on the same screen. Once you cancel, your plan keeps running until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
License. The videos you receive are yours to keep: you may use them for paid and organic advertising on any channel, with no time limit, on any plan. Remake promise. If you don't like a finished ad, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we remake it free, or refund that ad.
AI presenters. Every presenter in our videos is an AI creator, and every ad carries a small AI label. Our creators introduce and explain your product. They never pose as real customers, give buyer testimonials or claim results, and we only use claims from your product page or brief. When you post, please keep the AI label and the file's built-in AI tags, switch on each platform's AI-content setting, and never present the creator as a real customer. We don't make ads for alcohol, tobacco or vaping, gambling, weapons, adult products, financial or medical treatment claims, or anything aimed at children.

5. Getting your digital products
After you pay, you get a receipt with an access key. Programs open in the Model Citizens Passport, an app in your web browser, and most also come as a PDF. Keepsakes, portraits and digital storybooks are files you download. The Passport saves your progress on your own device, so back it up before you change phones (there's a button for this in the Passport). Business videos are in your business account.
6. Your license
Buying a digital product gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use it yourself. Please don't share your access key, or copy, resell, publish or give away a product or large parts of it. Coaching resources (such as practice plans and parent letters) may be printed and shared with the team or group you coach. Portraits and storybooks made from your photo are yours to keep, print and share for personal use.
7. Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars. Digital products are sold through Gumroad, which may act as the seller of record and add sales tax, VAT or GST where the law requires. Printed gifts, printed storybooks and business plans are paid through Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
8. Refunds
Paid digital products come with a 7-day money-back guarantee. Personalized and printed items are fixed, replaced or refunded if anything is wrong, and business plans are refunded in full before production starts. The details are in our Refund policy. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
9. General information, not professional advice
Our products share general information about fitness, nutrition, pet care, style, coaching, music, work and similar topics. They are not medical, dietary, veterinary, financial, legal or other professional advice, and they don't replace advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation.
Health and exercise. Talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise or eating plan, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, take regular medication or haven't exercised in a while. Stop any exercise that causes pain, dizziness or shortness of breath, and get medical help if symptoms continue. Our nutrition content is not for managing medical conditions or eating disorders.
Pets. Check with your vet before starting a new exercise, diet or activity routine with your pet, and especially for older dogs or dogs with health problems. Stop if your pet shows pain or distress.
Children's sport. Coaching products are for adults who supervise children. Follow your league's rules, and keep children safe, including taking any knock to the head seriously.
You're responsible for deciding whether information suits you, your pet or the people you look after, and for how you use it.
10. AI creators and AI-made content
The creators on the site, such as Theo, Wes and Iris Vale, are AI characters, not real people. That's why each one is marked "AI citizen". Their photos, videos and voices are made with AI tools. Our products, portraits and storybooks are made with the help of AI tools and reviewed by people before you get them. We work to keep them accurate, but they may contain mistakes. 11. Messages and chat
The site's chat assistant and the creators' replies to messages and comments are written with the help of AI. They can help with questions about our products but can't give personal medical, veterinary or financial advice. Anything about orders, refunds or complaints is passed to us.
12. Age
You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to buy from us.
13. Using the site
Please don't misuse the site, the Passport or your business account, try to get around access keys or security, or copy our content, images or designs without permission. We may change, update or remove products and pages, and if we stop selling a digital product you've bought, we'll keep your access to it or give you a way to download it.
14. Our liability
We provide the site, products and services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss or injury arising from how you use general information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. Our products come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and these terms don't affect them.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version in place when you bought a product applies to that purchase.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts there can hear any dispute. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections the law where you live gives you.
