A HeyGen alternative for UGC ads.
HeyGen is a general AI avatar platform: long videos, translation into many languages, and a Product Placement feature where an avatar holds your product. We do one thing: short UGC-style ads, written, filmed and checked for you. If UGC ads are all you need, here's how the two compare.
| HeyGen | Model Citizens Studio | |
|---|---|---|
| Who makes the video | You, in their editor | We do: script, filming and checks, done for you |
| Price | Free (3 videos a month, watermarked), Creator $29, Pro $49, Business $149 a month plus $20 a seat | $49 for one ad, $197 for 5, monthly from $297 for 10 |
| What you pay for | Credits (600 a month on Creator). Each minute of avatar video uses credits by avatar model; e.g. 31 credits a minute for an Avatar IV video look, per their help centre | A set number of finished videos: $39.40 a video in the Ad Pack, down to $19.95 on Pro |
| Product in hand | Product Placement: an avatar holds or uses your product (its credit cost isn't published) | In every ad, with an automatic check of your product's size and look |
| Video length and languages | Up to 30 minutes on Creator; 175+ languages and dialects on paid plans | 15-second ads; English, plus Spanish, French, German, Portuguese or Italian at $49 per video |
| Unused allowance | Monthly plans carry unused credits over one more month; credits end when you cancel | Unused videos don't carry over; every video you do get is yours to keep |
| Who writes the script | You | We write it from your product page; you approve or edit it |
| If you don't like it | Make another version yourself | We remake it free until you love it |
HeyGen details are from their public pages as we read them on 6 Nov 2026; check them before you decide: www.heygen.com/pricing · help.heygen.com/en/articles/15126059 · www.heygen.com/en-gb/tool/ai-product-placement. Prices change; tell us if anything here is out of date and we'll fix it.
Which is right for you?
HeyGen is far cheaper per minute and the better choice for longer videos, training and explainer content, translation, or if you want to make a lot of videos yourself. Choose us if you want ready-to-run 15-second UGC ads, with your product in a creator's hands and the script written from your page, without learning an editor.
